You need a dimension out of a warehouse you are not standing in: the clear height under the truss, the width of a racking aisle, the space in front of the loading door. One phone walkthrough turns into a walkable model of your industrial hall, and in it you drag those distances and read them off in metres.

How wide is the aisle between row 4 and row 5 really, and is there still room under the truss for a reach truck with its mast up? In the model you place two points and read the distance in metres, horizontally, vertically or free in space. You do not have to know in advance which dimension you will want: the walkthrough keeps the floor area, not the three numbers that happened to be on your mind.
One more racking row, a cantilever rack along the long wall, a charging station for forklifts: before anyone orders, you want to know whether it fits and whether the escape route stays clear. The collision mesh sits in the same frame as the splat, so you can drop a rack into place in Unreal or Unity and walk around it instead of guessing on a floor plan.
A part of the floor to sublet, a contract logistics tender, a contractor who has to price a job: a share link shows the walkable state, and whoever opens it can measure for themselves without installing anything. The trips fall away, and everyone talks about the same production hall in the same condition.

The capture guide applies everywhere alike. Three of its rules weigh more here than the rest, because a production hall is large, looks the same all over and is lit unevenly.
Filming a warehouse in one long take is the most common mistake: after ten minutes you have thousands of frames of aisles that look like one another. Split the floor into sections and upload each section as its own capture.

Along a uniform run of racking, hardly any spot differs from the next. So walk on past your starting point, and the reconstruction can tell that you are back where you began.

An open sectional door is a white hole in the wall, and high-bay lamps flicker as far as a camera is concerned. Lock exposure and focus before you set off, and keep the door behind you rather than in front of you.

Not a link to a platform but files that fit into your own software. Each carries its scale inside it: one unit is one metre, and the floor is down.

What decides it is how you cut the walk up: you film in sections and upload each section as its own capture. A large production hall becomes several captures instead of one that is no use to anybody.
A device with a 0.5× ultra-wide lens that records 4K at 60 frames per second, and light in the building. No tripod, no tape measure, no marker and no survey trolley: the scale comes out of the walk itself, and the delivery is metric. If you happen to know one distance on site, you can type it into the viewer and calibrate the scene against it — you do not have to.
Whatever you filmed is in the model; whatever you did not film is not. From eye height you see the upper shelf levels at a steep angle from below, so they are there as a surface but not as a clean solid. If the top levels are what matter to you, film the aisle a second time and hold the device higher or tilt it up.
Yes — a site holds any number of captures, and each section is one of them. They are not added together: you get one delivery per section, and each one stands in metres on its own. Merging several sections into a single model is not built, and so we do not claim it.
